Thien Hau Temple
Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam
Thien Hau Temple, located at 710 Nguyen Trai Street, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the oldest and most revered Chinese temples in Vietnam. Built in the 18th century by the Cantonese community, it honors Mazu (Thien Hau), the Goddess of the Sea, who protects sailors and merchants. The temple dazzles with its ornate roof decorations, delicate ceramic figurines, and swirling incense coils. During festivals like Lunar New Year and Mazu’s birthday, it becomes a hub of vibrant rituals and cultural performances.
